My two qualifications from University are:
1) Postgraduate Certificate Mathematics - modules are:
Analytic number theory I
Analytic number theory II
2) BSc (Hons) Open Degree (Computing, Pure Mathematics) - modules are:
You, your computer and the net
Putting computer systems to work
Computing: an object-oriented approach
Building blocks of software
Software systems and their development
Using mathematics
Pure mathematics
Number theory
Mathematical logic
Complex analysis
My BSc (Hons) contains Computing 210 credits and Pure Mathematics 150 credits. Total 360 credits.
My PG Cert Maths contributes to 60 credits of 180 credits for MSc Pure Mathematics, which I wish to complete before PhD Pure Mathematics. I completed Galois Theory, passing all assignments but failed exam due to the University increasing pass mark by 10%; otherwise, I would have passed meaning, I would have 90 credits of 180 credits for MSc Pure Mathematics.
My Mathematical interests lie in Pure.
I have approximately, 12 years professional C/C++ experience.
My passion for Pure Mathematics commenced during 'A' Level Mathematics; so, naturally this continued onto University. Working as a Research Assistant in Pure Mathematics is enticing but my Third Class Honours is lower than minimum requirement of 2:1; everyone ignores my Postgraduate Certificate Mathematics which is worth a third of a Masters! Working as a Mathematician would be ideal but a PhD is required; need to complete my Masters first! This is currently on hold for personal reasons!
